Starting out the new year on the Mexican Baja as I join my friend and artist Jana Soper for their annual Open Studio in the town of Todos Santos. Nearly 50 artists in this community open their studios to benefit The Palapa Society.

The Palapa Society is deeply woven into the tapestry of Todos Santos, making a significant impact on countless community members through our diverse programs:

Empowering English Language Education: Offering crucial English language classes to both working adults and children. These classes empower our community with language skills that open doors to enhanced opportunities and brighter futures.

Cornerstone Bilingual Community Library: Our bilingual community library stands as a focal point for education and culture in Todos Santos. It actively promotes reading and learning, fostering intellectual and cultural growth within our community.

Enhancing Middle and High School Education: The Palapa Society plays a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the quality of middle and high school education in Todos Santos. Your contributions ensure that our youth receive the best education possible, molding them into future leaders of our community.

Bentonville Fine Art Festival - Bentonville, Arkansas

The Bentonville Fine Art Festival will feature the remarkable talents of local and regional artists and transform Orchards Park into an art lover’s paradise, featuring an extensive range of original artworks. From the intricate beauty of clay and glass to the modern marvels of digital art, fiber, jewelry, and mixed media, a rich tapestry of creative expressions is awaiting discovery. For lovers of traditional painting, the festival will present captivating works in acrylics, oils, and watercolors. Additionally, attendees can explore the world of photography, and marvel at exquisite sculptures crafted from clay, glass, metal, stone, and wood. With such an eclectic mix of artistic expressions, there is something to enthrall every artistic taste and preference. All artworks will be available for purchase, allowing attendees to take a piece of this artistic magic home with them.

The eagerly anticipated Bentonville Fine Art Festival is set for November 9 – 10, 2024, hosted at the picturesque Orchards Park in Bentonville, Arkansas. This family-friendly event welcomes art enthusiasts of all ages with free parking and admission. Attendees can immerse themselves in a world of creativity from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

“The Crystal Bridges Museum Art Fair will hold this inaugural event the first weekend of October 2024. This will be an annual event that is committed to the artful work in American Arts and Craft. This fair represents modern, traditional, and emerging artists. Approximately 100 artists nationwide will be selected to showcase their fine artworks in various mediums, including ceramics, wood, textile, glass, drawing, painting, mixed media, jewelry, photography, metal/iron, and sculpture.
